When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Hans Ayrton took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Edgardo Balasi to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, CATELCO's Serafin Aritza got a free kick in the 14th minute. After having played for 18 minutes, Edgardo Flor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UPAU FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgardo Flor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, UPAU FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Heriberto came free, but Emanuel Persson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dário Koehler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Edgardo Balasi made a huge save. Dário Koehler's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Edgardo Balasi firmly grabbed it by the left post. With a little luck, CATELCO's Edgardo Balasi got control of the ball when Dário Koehler tried to sneak it across the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Marcelino Olo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Emanuel Persson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. UPAU FC's Emanuel Persson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafin Aritza in the 33rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in CATELCO's zone, Dário Koehler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgardo Balasi came out of the goal and Dário Koehler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcelino Olo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carolo Satordi hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Edgardo Balasi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hans Ayrton went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hans Ayrton was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, CATELCO's goal looked a bit too open when Gaudencio Sandalio came free, but Edgardo Balasi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute, Dário Koehler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th minute Hans Ayrton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Balasi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaudencio Sandalio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Edgardo Balasi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, CATELCO's Jorge Heriberto got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute, Hans Ayrton left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UPAU FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Edgardo Balasi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Ayrton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the CATELCO defense, Edgardo Flor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgardo Balasi. The CATELCO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgardo Balasi should have stopped the shot. Marcelino Olo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Persson having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Hans Ayrton made a precise shot to the right of Edgardo Balasi. CATELCO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. The supporters of UPAU FC booed when CATELCO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celestino Bingen didn't get a good kick on the ball. CATELCO's Serafin Aritza got his second yellow card of the match in the 92nd minute. The referee ordered Serafin Aritza off the ground. In the 92nd minute, Serafin Aritza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the CATELCO players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for UPAU FC.
