After a rather tough play, Ayajasco's Mümin Yurday got a free kick in the 9th minute. Ayajasco's attentive Ingmar Kartau managed to snatch the ball when Jonatan Loren made a throw-in in the 12th minute of the game. 12 minutes into the match, Atlético Melipal's goal looked a bit too open when Teo Gelmiro came free, but Ramon Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Atlético Melipal booed when Ayajasco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Marley didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 15 played minutes, Atlético Melipal's Aurelio Ponc shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luisão Catarinense came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Atlético Melipal reached it. Atlético Melipal's Ramon Selatse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teo Gelmiro in the 17th minute of play. Ayajasco's Luisão Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Olayo in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Atlético Melipal's goal looked a bit too open when Mümin Yurday came free, but Ramon Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ramon Selatse stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teo Gelmiro's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. During the 45th minute of the match Rene Mergildo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Rene Mergildo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 46th match minute, Atlético Melipal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rene Mergildo to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teo Gelmiro to strike the kick off in the second half. If Mümin Yurday had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. In the 60thth minute of the game Teo Gelmiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Melipal's Ramon Selatse was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ayajasco's zone, Eriberto Casado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisão Catarinense came out of the goal and Eriberto Casado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atlético Melipal's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Teo Gelmiro scored to the left of an out of position Ramon Selatse, making the score, 0-1. In the 70th minute Teo Gelmiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon Selatse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teo Gelmiro in the 73rd minute of play forced Atlético Melipal's goalkeeper Ramon Selatse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mümin Yurday had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atlético Melipal's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ramon Selatse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the game, Placido Olayo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Melipal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ayajasco the free kick. Placido Olayo hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After 89th play minutes Teo Gelmiro shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Ramon Selatse and just under the crossbar into goal. When Teo Gelmiro came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Ayajasco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teo Gelmiro couldn't finish the play. Mümin Yurday who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Ramon Selatse when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ayajasco's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
