In the 8th minute Guido Rocendo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Generoso Haritz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guido Rocendo scored 0-2 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Generoso Haritz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 14 minutes into the game, Lugano con el rojo's Guido Rocendo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Generoso Haritz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 18 minutes into the match, Guido Rocendo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Generoso Haritz. Italó's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guido Rocendo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. 24 minutes into the match, Italó's goal looked a bit too open when Guido Rocendo came free, but Generoso Haritz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Lugano con el rojo booed when Italó was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Elixio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, Guido Rocendo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lugano con el rojo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Generoso Haritz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guido Rocendo in the 35th minute of the match. A collision led to Italó getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Jonatan Udalaitz hit a great ball. In the 36th minute, one of Italó:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Italó. Generoso Haritz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Rocendo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Italó players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lugano con el rojo were winning 0-6.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Camilo Elixio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Guido Rocendo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Generoso Haritz, passed just outside the right post. Italó's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Guido Rocendo scored to the left of an out of position Generoso Haritz, making the score, 0-7. Guido Rocendo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Generoso Haritz having to interfere. Italó's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Guido Rocendo 91 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-10. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guido Rocendo got free with Generoso Haritz in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 96 minutes of play, Lugano con el rojo's Guido Rocendo made it 0-11 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Generoso Haritz was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match was over Lugano con el rojo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Italó throughout the match.
