Generoso Haritz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mümin Yurday in the 31st minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Teo Gelmiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Generoso Haritz. Italó's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teo Gelmiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 41st minute Urbano Madeo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisão Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 43rd minute of the game. One of Ayajasco:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Italó:s goal. The referee gave Italó a penalty, 45 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Urbano Madeo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ayajasco's Luisão Catarinense. 2-1. Luisão Catarinense was out of position in the 48 minute of play, and Camilo Elixio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Camilo Elixio really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

For all the effort they put into the match, the Ayajasco players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Italó.
