Niceto Uzuri was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Roque Miro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 19 minute of play. Jesus Uzuri lost his temper 23 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Lázaro Anaya could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Niceto Uzuri made a huge save. In the last second Niceto Uzuri throw himself and got hold of the ball when Roque Miro in the 32ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Estudiantes de La Plata's Joel Hitzeder slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Niceto Uzuri. That made the score 7-0 after 36 minutes of play. When Roque Miro came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Estudiantes de La Plata fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roque Miro couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Joel Hitzeder took a quick shot and it went in 8-0 without a chance for Niceto Uzuri to make any attempt to save it. In the 46th match minute, Estudiantes de La Plata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lázaro Anaya to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
