The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christian Gustau during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Christian Gustau hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Hugo Federigo in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Matias Jakobe, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Patagonia FC's Amador Barros got a free kick in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximo Ebardo in the 12th minute of play forced Patagonia FC's goalkeeper Jorge Berto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of LOS PIRATAS booed when Patagonia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Ereinotz didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erubiel Evangelista in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Berto saved Patagonia FC from getting behind. If Hugo Federigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matias Jakobe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Federigo in the 17th minute of play. Amadeo Colas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorge Berto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. With a little luck, LOS PIRATAS's Matias Jakobe got control of the ball when Hugo Federigo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hugo Federigo got free with Matias Jakobe in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hugo Federigo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Patagonia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maximo Ebardo came free, but Jorge Berto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to LOS PIRATAS getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Gaspar Inautzi hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the game, Maximo Ebardo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jorge Berto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Hugo Federigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 49th minute Amador Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Jakobe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maximo Ebardo was the one to do the kick off. Matias Jakobe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Federigo in the 54th minute of the match. After 55 played minutes Patagonia FC got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Ereinotz. Jorge Berto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amadeo Colas in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximo Ebardo in the 61st minute of play forced Patagonia FC's goalkeeper Jorge Berto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matias Jakobe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Federigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the game, Amador Barros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Matias Jakobe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Patagonia FC's zone, Erubiel Evangelista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Berto came out of the goal and Erubiel Evangelista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Higinio Mantzio was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 84 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Patagonia FC's Higinio Mantzio got a free kick in the 85th minute. 86 minutes into the match, LOS PIRATAS's Augusto Naldo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorge Berto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. LOS PIRATAS's Maximo Ebardo got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Patagonia FC defense, Maximo Ebardo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jorge Berto. The Patagonia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorge Berto should have stopped the shot. In the 97th minute, Amador Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. LOS PIRATAS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
