With a little luck, CONS0RCIO FC's Modesto Egun got control of the ball when Elpidio Estevez tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Primitivo Hitz during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 9th minute, Primitivo Hitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Genaro Lugo in the 10th minute really tested Modesto Egun's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Ramon Aballe struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Andries Van Mechelen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CONS0RCIO FC. Modesto Egun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Genaro Lugo went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 21st minute, Ramon Aballe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jesus Nofre kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Andries Van Mechelen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramon Aballe in the 27th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Genaro Lugo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Modesto Egun. CONS0RCIO FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Genaro Lugo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Modesto Egun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Genaro Lugo in the 42nd minute. Andries Van Mechelen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ramon Aballe's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Genaro Lugo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Baldomero Gar came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the CONS0RCIO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baldomero Gar couldn't finish the play. In the 61st minute Elpidio Estevez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Modesto Egun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ramon Aballe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Andries Van Mechelen made a huge save. Calle Hök charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Calle Hök the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Modesto Egun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Genaro Lugo, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The Club Mercedes players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
