When Leopoldo Videl fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Soutomayor's protests and gave Leopoldo Videl a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Soutomayor's Leopoldo Videl got a free kick in the 12th minute. Timoteo Endira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 85th minute, Angel Medina made a precise shot to the right of Timoteo Endira. Soutomayor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. If Venancio Txindoki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Killer Queen fans cheered their team off the field, for while Soutomayor had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
