Amancio Gartxot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urbano Ortzi in the 16th minute of play. Gaston Oskarbi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Eliseo Sazon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cesar Claus charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Marcelino Tiniebra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bankero FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelino Tiniebra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amancio Gartxot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcelino Tiniebra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Amancio Gartxot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelino Tiniebra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amancio Gartxot having to interfere. 1-1 became the score in the 46th minute when Urbano Ortzi elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Serafin Seguinus to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Urbano Ortzi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ismael Frederico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 66th minute, Gaston Oskarbi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ismael Frederico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. With a little luck, Chañarmullo's Amancio Gartxot got control of the ball when Bernardino Bertin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Amancio Gartxot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Urbano Ortzi came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Bankero FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Urbano Ortzi couldn't finish the play. Ismael Frederico took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amancio Gartxot. Amancio Gartxot dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3.
