Florentino Rameriz ran back to his position shaking his head. Sergio Berenguer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anacleto Pes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomero Guib in the 18th minute of play. Anacleto Pes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedicto Heriberto in the 19th minute of play. A collision led to Carrizal AFC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Dario Pudes hit a great ball. 21 minutes into the match, Baldomero Guib notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Carrizal AFC's Anacleto Pes. Anacleto Pes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Baldomero Guib scored 0-2 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anacleto Pes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of River plate booed when Carrizal AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimiro Bastia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 29 minutes Carrizal AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Oscar Oliveiro who took care of the corner kick. In the 34th minute Florentino Rameriz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anacleto Pes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anacleto Pes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomero Guib, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herminio Koldo in the 43rd minute of play forced Carrizal AFC's goalkeeper Anacleto Pes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anacleto Pes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedicto Heriberto, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Anacleto Pes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedicto Heriberto in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute Benedicto Heriberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anacleto Pes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The Carrizal AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anacleto Pes should have stopped the shot. Carrizal AFC's Anacleto Pes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Carrizal AFC from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Benedicto Heriberto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Anacleto Pes. That made the score 0-7 in the 60 minute of play. Sebastian Abads short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Anacleto Pes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 65th minute Benedicto Heriberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anacleto Pes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as River plate's Oscar Oliveiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Anacleto Pes. That made the score 0-8 after 67 minutes of play. Herminio Koldo kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Sebastian Abad could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Anacleto Pes made a huge save. After 75th play minutes Sebastian Abad shot 0-9, a short shot which went by Anacleto Pes and just under the crossbar into goal. Carrizal AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Benedicto Heriberto scored to the left of an out of position Anacleto Pes, making the score, 0-10. 85 minutes into the game, Florentino Rameriz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-11. Anacleto Pes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Florentino Rameriz hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Aytaç Bartu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Berenguer in the 92nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baldomero Guib got free with Anacleto Pes in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The River plate fans' excitement grew in the 96th match minute when River plate's Baldomero Guib looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-12 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. River plate played a much better game than Carrizal AFC and deserved their victory. The Carrizal AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
