When Teofilo Magdaleno fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Candelaria FC's protests and gave Teofilo Magdaleno a yellow card for diving instead. When the match was over Singlar Club FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than La Candelaria FC throughout the match.
