In the 6th minute Olimpo BB were awarded a corner. Lázaro Balasi went to the cornerflag to take it. A well done corner resulted in Vicente Perfecto drilling the ball in to score 0-1 behind Caliope Coro's goalkeeper. 13 minutes into the match, Lázaro Balasi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zeledon Chago. Caliope Coro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lázaro Balasi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anibal Urre in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zeledon Chago prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 20th minute, Eustaquio Gaizkine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Olimpo BB's zone, Gogo Belasko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jiří Brunner came out of the goal and Gogo Belasko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Caliope Coro's Raul Crescencio got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 33rd minute, Anibal Urre left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Olimpo BB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. 37 minutes into the match, Lázaro Balasi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zeledon Chago. Zeledon Chago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anibal Urre, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Zeledon Chago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lázaro Balasi in the 43rd minute of play. Ricardo Quilo took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zeledon Chago. Zeledon Chago dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anibal Urre to make the kick off. Zeledon Chago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lázaro Balasi in the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Quilo in the 57th minute of play forced Caliope Coro's goalkeeper Zeledon Chago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Lázaro Balasi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zeledon Chago. That made the score 0-7 in the 58 minute of play. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Caliope Coro's goalkeeper Zeledon Chago, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jairo Perpinya received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zeledon Chago came out and tried to block the shot, but Jairo Perpinya slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 64th minute. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Jairo Perpinya took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Zeledon Chago to make any attempt to save it. Zeledon Chago was a little too slow when Jairo Perpinya got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 0-12. In the 90th minute, Jairo Perpinya ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zeledon Chago was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-13. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Gogo Belasko put it in 1-13 from a short distance just to the right of Jiří Brunner. Olimpo BB's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
