Raul Crescencio hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. It was beautiful to see Matadores de Luro's Mario Rivero in action when he in the 7th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Zeledon Chago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquiles Lain in the 8th minute of the match. Aquiles Lain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Mario Rivero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zeledon Chago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Rivero, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 21st minute, Raimundo Sanchez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zeledon Chago was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Zeledon Chago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquiles Lain in the 26th minute of the match. After 27 minutes of play, Matadores de Luro's Aquiles Lain made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zeledon Chago was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 30th match minute, Matadores de Luro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gervasio Larpe to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the game, Gogo Belasko recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Brice Quigley. Gogo Belasko showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Mario Rivero scored 1-3 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zeledon Chago, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 48 minutes into the match, Raimundo Sanchez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zeledon Chago. Caliope Coro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raimundo Sanchez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. The Caliope Coro players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Matadores de Luro were winning 1-5.

The wind increased when Gogo Belasko made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Matadores de Luro got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Sanchez. Brice Quigley stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gogo Belasko's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. After 57 minutes Matadores de Luro's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Raul Crescencio who took care of the corner kick. 59 minutes into the match, Aquiles Lain dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zeledon Chago, 1-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mario Rivero got free with Zeledon Chago in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gogo Belasko in the 68th minute of play forced Matadores de Luro's goalkeeper Brice Quigley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute, Pedro Banegas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aquiles Lain could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Zeledon Chago made a huge save. The supporters of Caliope Coro booed when Matadores de Luro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Emmanuel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brice Quigley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Crescencio in the 98th minute of play.
