The audience thought a goal was coming when Marco Frances got free with Aaron Mede in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Enzo Crescencio charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enzo Crescencio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 25 played minutes Inter Miami got a freekick which was hit by Enzo Crescencio. Isidoro Ongile made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Derwin in the 26th minute of play. In the 33rdth minute of the game Samuel Derwin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inter Miami's Isidoro Ongile was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. St. Patrick's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Osasun in the 35th minute. The corner led St. Patrick's Tomas Osasun to fire away a dangerous shot which Isidoro Ongile despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 37 minutes, Eleuterio Teodor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the St. Patrick and the Inter Miami players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eleuterio Teodor kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 39th minute of the match Jacinto Txindoki shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aaron Mede showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Aaron Mede made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marco Frances in the 43rd minute. Gavino Victoro made in the 45th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Tomas Osasun immediately put the ball in play. Inter Miami's Isidoro Ongile played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleuterio Teodor in the 48th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marco Frances stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to St. Patrick getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Cristobal Berdoi hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute, Jacinto Txindoki sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and St. Patrick's Aaron Mede didn't even have to move. Isidoro Ongile made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Eleuterio Teodor sent off a good shot on target. Marco Frances fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron Mede having to interfere. In the 76th minute Marco Frances shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aaron Mede saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristobal Berdoi in the 80th minute of play forced Inter Miami's goalkeeper Isidoro Ongile to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But to his dismay, Marco Frances quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. If Cristobal Berdoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the game, Inter Miami's Marco Frances nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aaron Mede made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. 93 minutes into the match, St. Patrick's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Frances came free, but Aaron Mede reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute, Enzo Crescencio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aaron Mede was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the St. Patrick players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Inter Miami.
