Casa Grande FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Alfredo Gudesteo made in the 17th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Casa Grande FC's Aurelio Jayvier. After a defensive mix-up in Casa Grande FC's zone, Esteve Deunoro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Genaro Viviano came out of the goal and Esteve Deunoro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeronimo Osmundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genaro Viviano having to interfere. After some careless play in the Casa Grande FC defense, Esteve Deunoro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Genaro Viviano. The Casa Grande FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Genaro Viviano should have stopped the shot. After 30 minutes of play, WASD's Jeronimo Osmundo made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Genaro Viviano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jeronimo Osmundo, 33 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 40th minute Esteve Deunoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Viviano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teo Polo's late challenge caught a Casa Grande FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
