Unión FC's Ivan Eudoxio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Unión FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Unión FC's zone, Leonardo Bortzaioriz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Eudoxio came out of the goal and Leonardo Bortzaioriz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd minute, Leonardo Bortzaioriz made a precise shot to the right of Ivan Eudoxio. Unión FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. 96 minutes into the game, Esteve Baldovino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Damaso Sustrai was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. River Plate De Lugano played a much better game than Unión FC and deserved their victory. The Unión FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
