The shot was a little too simple and Julio Dodorol could save by the left post. Julio Dodorol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marino Grazia, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Everardo Aimar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Oroitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute New Borbotones were awarded a corner. Eloy Errando went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led New Borbotones's Domingo Eleazar to fire away a dangerous shot which Everardo Aimar despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Cabrones's Everardo Aimar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Oroitz in the 21st minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Raimundo Oroitz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Everardo Aimar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 24 minutes into the match, Cabrones's goal looked a bit too open when Eloy Errando came free, but Everardo Aimar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Domingo Eleazar in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Everardo Aimar saved Cabrones from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Domingo Eleazar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Everardo Aimar was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. In the 32nd minute Raimundo Oroitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Aimar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Domingo Eleazar sped through Cabrones's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Everardo Aimar. New Borbotones's Julio Dodorol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Brasil in the 36th minute of play. Joel Ganix struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Julio Dodorol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cabrones. After 39 played minutes New Borbotones got a freekick which was hit by Severo Edwardo. 40 minutes into the match, Cabrones's Dante Tuste sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Dodorol narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 44thth minute of the game Domingo Eleazar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cabrones's Everardo Aimar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Severo Izotz to make the kick off. Everardo Aimar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Oroitz in the 51st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Ganix in the 57th minute of play forced New Borbotones's goalkeeper Julio Dodorol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute Severo Izotz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Dodorol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Cabrones booed when New Borbotones was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermengildo Baraquiel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Everardo Aimar made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Eloy Errando sent off a good shot on target. Everardo Aimar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Domingo Eleazar's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. New Borbotones's Arnulfo Geofredo was substituted for Raimundo Oroitz. In the 79th minute, Andres Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 82 minutes into the match, Cabrones's Eulalio Liberto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Dodorol narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Joel Ganix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Dodorol having to interfere. After having played for 87 minutes, Arnulfo Geofredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New Borbotones's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnulfo Geofredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 93 played minutes New Borbotones got a freekick which was hit by Eloy Errando. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched New Borbotones eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
