A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Claudio Munio might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ivan Eudoxio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claudio Munio ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcos Gomez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ivan Eudoxio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Defensa y Justicia's goal looked a bit too open when Constantino Ciceron came free, but Jonathan Cresitobalo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maximino Perrando kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gualterio Sotil during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rodolfo Guillerme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Eudoxio having to interfere. Ivan Eudoxio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claudio Munio in the 22nd minute. Maximino Perrando kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Marcos Gomez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Eudoxio having to interfere. Ivan Eudoxio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcos Gomez in the 27th minute. The supporters of Defensa y Justicia booed when Unión FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marciano Theobald didn't get a good kick on the ball. Unión FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Claudio Munio scored to the left of an out of position Ivan Eudoxio, making the score, 1-0. Maximino Perrando charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximino Perrando the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Maximino Perrando hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Marcos Gomez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, Marcos Gomez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marciano Theobald stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Unión FC's zone, Marcos Gomez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Eudoxio came out of the goal and Marcos Gomez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Unión FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Gaudencio Donio hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Gualterio Sotil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Defensa y Justicia's supporters rose to their feet, but Gualterio Sotil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Eudoxio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Unión FC's Ivan Eudoxio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Gomez in the 60th minute of play. After 60 minutes, Silvio Erroman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Unión FC and the Defensa y Justicia players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Unión FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Silvio Erroman hit a great ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Blas Bernad's late challenge caught a Defensa y Justicia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Blas Bernad helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 64th minute of the game. One of Unión FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Defensa y Justicia:s goal. In the 70th minute of the match Esteve Baldovino shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Cresitobalo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Claudio Munio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivan Eudoxio. Unión FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claudio Munio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After having played for 79 minutes, Rodolfo Guillerme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Defensa y Justicia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodolfo Guillerme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gaudencio Donio kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Marcos Gomez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ivan Eudoxio having to make a save. In the 83rd minute, Claudio Munio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivan Eudoxio was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Ivan Eudoxio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Defensa y Justicia walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
