Cosme Fernendo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Cordeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Lund in the 44th minute of play forced Sportivo Italiano's goalkeeper Elpidio Llanos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. River's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. When Moises Cordeiro came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Sportivo Italiano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moises Cordeiro couldn't finish the play. In the 83rd match minute, Sportivo Italiano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeroen Van Haeght to maneuver through the defense. In the 92ndth minute of the game Moises Cordeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but River's Cosme Fernendo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sportivo Italiano's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
