Spectators: 7482 (Terracing: 5613, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Natalio Berbiz started the match with the kick off. Marco Isias came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Andes FC's Ulises Esdras. But to his dismay, Ulises Esdras quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of Los Andes FC booed when Villa Castelar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Chumo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gregorio Tonio hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Andes FC's goalkeeper Blas Guillem, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marco Isias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natalio Berbiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victoriano Ramirez in the 15th minute of play forced Villa Castelar's goalkeeper Marco Isias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 21 minutes, Nicasio Ilazki made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Los Andes FC's Blas Guillem tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natalio Berbiz in the 27th minute of play forced Villa Castelar's goalkeeper Marco Isias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Villa Castelar's Marco Isias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natalio Berbiz in the 28th minute of play. Andres Martxel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Los Andes FC's Blas Guillem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andres Martxel in the 36th minute of play. Blas Guillem made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gregorio Rexino in the 37th minute. With his leg Blas Guillem managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Villa Castelar's Nicasio Ilazki fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Nicasio Ilazki who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Blas Guillem when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicasio Ilazki stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute Gregorio Rexino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blas Guillem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulises Esdras's late challenge caught a Villa Castelar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulises Esdras helped the player get up and apologised. Nicasio Ilazki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Blas Guillem stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicasio Ilazki's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Blas Guillem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregorio Rexino in the 63rd minute of play. Gregorio Rexino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Nicasio Ilazki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Blas Guillem was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicasio Ilazki in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Blas Guillem saved Los Andes FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres Martxel in the 75th minute of play forced Los Andes FC's goalkeeper Blas Guillem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gregorio Rexino charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gregorio Rexino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a left leg Blas Guillem saved Los Andes FC from getting behind. 95 minutes into the game, Ulises Esdras cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Marco Isias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
