German Lalla's late challenge caught a Miguel FC-S.M. del Monte's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. German Lalla helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th match minute, Esparta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by German Lalla to maneuver through the defense. Esparta FC's Hernan Lorencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Araoz in the 21st minute of play. After some careless play in the Miguel FC-S.M. del Monte defense, Luís Artime kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Diego Cordarryl. The Miguel FC-S.M. del Monte fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diego Cordarryl should have stopped the shot. Hernan Lorencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narciso Araoz, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Laureano Cloyo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Diego Cordarryl having to make a save. Esparta FC's Luís Artime got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hernan Lorencio made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Narciso Araoz sent off a good shot on target. 70 minutes into the game, Facundo Colidio threw the ball into play from the sideline. Esparta FC's Manuel Tomi quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 77th minute, Flavio Argoitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luís Artime recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diego Cordarryl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Konstantinos Pirovolidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Artime in the 83rd minute of play forced Miguel FC-S.M. del Monte's goalkeeper Diego Cordarryl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Luís Artime's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diego Cordarryl was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. 92 minutes into the game, Flavio Argoitz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
