When Venancio Santos came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the BAC Belgrano de Cba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Venancio Santos couldn't finish the play. BAC Belgrano de Cba's Placido Neron got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in atletic Luprechauns's zone, Virgilio Ariando stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Atilano Palban came out of the goal and Virgilio Ariando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atilano Palban showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgilio Ariando in the 42nd minute of the match. Virgilio Ariando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilano Palban having to interfere. After some careless play in the atletic Luprechauns defense, Placido Neron kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Atilano Palban. The atletic Luprechauns fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Atilano Palban should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The wind increased when Gerardo Llorenc made the kick off in the second half. Ermegildo Matxin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Llorenc in the 54th minute of play. 57 minutes in the game, Placido Neron fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Atilano Palban having to interfere. Virgilio Ariando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilano Palban having to interfere. Virgilio Ariando who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Atilano Palban when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Placido Neron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felipe Sal during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 68th minute of the match BAC Belgrano de Cba got a corner. atletic Luprechauns's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Andres Isadore ran over to the corner to take the kick. BAC Belgrano de Cba's Constantino Lia was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Atilano Palban in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. atletic Luprechauns's Atilano Palban proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save atletic Luprechauns from getting a goal against them. Atilano Palban stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgilio Ariando's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. 74 minutes into the match, atletic Luprechauns's goal looked a bit too open when Lucjan Jaroszewicz came free, but Atilano Palban reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, BAC Belgrano de Cba's Atilano Palban threw himself towards the right post 82 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eleuterio Sandaili, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The BAC Belgrano de Cba fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when BAC Belgrano de Cba's Virgilio Ariando looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Virgilio Ariando managed to get in a good position for a shot. BAC Belgrano de Cba's supporters rose to their feet, but Virgilio Ariando was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Atilano Palban breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Virgilio Ariando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
