Filomeno Hurko hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After having played for 21 minutes, Teo Peli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bew Nompland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teo Peli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carolo Maurino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baldomero Iztal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Carolo Maurino took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Baldomero Iztal. Baldomero Iztal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 29th minute, Eustaquio Baristo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lorenzo Suero in the 30th minute of play forced CA Vélez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Baldomero Iztal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CA Vélez Sarsfield's Baldomero Iztal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesus Erramun in the 47th minute of play. Teo Peli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Nicolas Eskuin kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Baldomero Iztal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesus Erramun in the 55th minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Elpidio Breogan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Filomeno Hurko hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Baldomero Iztal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teo Peli, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Teo Peli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Baldomero Iztal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bew Nompland were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing CA Vélez Sarsfield to leave the ground with a draw.
