Godofredo Basualdo struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Erasmo Ebardo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing1407. 8 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Elortondo's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Froila came free, but Erasmo Ebardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th match minute, Club Atlético Elortondo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Chinto to maneuver through the defense. Erasmo Ebardo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Godofredo Basualdo went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Eliseo Froila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Erasmo Ebardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godofredo Basualdo in the 23rd minute of the match. After 27 minutes Club Atlético Elortondo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Arnoldo Tercero who took care of the corner kick. Arnoldo Tercero made a great header on Racing1407's corner, it was just that Club Atlético Elortondo's Erasmo Ebardo managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to Racing1407 getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Perivaldo Reis hit a great ball. After 37 minutes, Remigio Gaitan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atlético Elortondo and the Racing1407 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Remigio Gaitan kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Erasmo Ebardo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Godofredo Basualdo's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. In the 39th minute, Reynaldo Chinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erasmo Ebardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godofredo Basualdo in the 40th minute of the match. Erasmo Ebardo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Godofredo Basualdo's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Erasmo Ebardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godofredo Basualdo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Godofredo Basualdo made a kick off. Eliseo Froila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 53rd match minute, Club Atlético Elortondo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Chinto to maneuver through the defense. Eliseo Froila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Erasmo Ebardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eliseo Froila could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Erasmo Ebardo made a huge save. In the 64th minute, Godofredo Basualdo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erasmo Ebardo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 68 minutes in the game, Godofredo Basualdo dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Racing1407's Elias Izel was substituted for Arnoldo Tercero. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Godofredo Basualdo took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Erasmo Ebardo to make any attempt to save it. Club Atlético Elortondo's Enrique Gaztea was substituted for Filiberto Colon. Erasmo Ebardo came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Racing1407's Leonel Arotza. But to his dismay, Leonel Arotza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Enrique Gaztea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Rito having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Elortondo's goal looked a bit too open when Basilio Azaceta came free, but Erasmo Ebardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Racing1407 could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Club Atlético Elortondo throughout the match.
