Frodo Quesada came out of the goal and Abel Tallia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12th match minute, Aston Birra Tandil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amancio Juvenal to maneuver through the defense. Victorio Venceslao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernan Leheren was the one to do the kick off. Frodo Quesada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Tallia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aston Birra Tandil's Frodo Quesada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raul Luke in the 58th minute of play. After 58th play minutes Raul Luke shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Frodo Quesada and just under the crossbar into goal. Aston Birra Tandil's Virgilio Francho got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Virgilio Francho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victorio Venceslao was a little too slow when Fernan Leheren got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 77th match minute, Aston Birra Tandil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Mingo to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Aston Birra Tandil getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Vicente Mingo hit a great ball. 84 minutes into the match, Aston Birra Tandil's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Tallia came free, but Frodo Quesada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute Abel Tallia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frodo Quesada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frodo Quesada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Tallia in the 87th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Dorival Nogueira took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Victorio Venceslao to make any attempt to save it. The Aston Birra Tandil supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Aston Birra Tandil would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
