But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dorival Nogueira couldn't finish the play. After having played for 42 minutes, Guido Felipo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aston Birra Tandil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guido Felipo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 43rd minute, Dorival Nogueira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gavino Peruxu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The audience was convinced that Dorival Nogueira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gavino Peruxu was relentless in the 48th minute of the game.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gaston Leoiar to make the kick off. Virgilio Francho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Gavino Peruxu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aston Birra Tandil's Frodo Quesada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Bordat in the 76th minute of play. Aston Birra Tandil's Jonatan Emeterio was substituted for Virgilio Francho. In the 81st minute Gaston Leoiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frodo Quesada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gavino Peruxu came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Aston Birra Tandil's Guido Felipo. But to his dismay, Guido Felipo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Fidencio in the 96th minute of play forced Aston Birra Tandil's goalkeeper Frodo Quesada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Aston Birra Tandil were the better team. Aston Birra Tandil's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
