The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 12th minute, Jose Abar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Pumas Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 17 minutes into the match, Zbyszko Sebzda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicolas Galanes. Los Pumas Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zbyszko Sebzda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 20th minute Jose Abar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorio Ubelteso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victorio Ubelteso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Primitivo Beturian in the 21st minute of play. Victorio Ubelteso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Primitivo Beturian, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Club A.Douglas Haig's Victorio Ubelteso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jose Abar in the 26th minute of play. The supporters of Club A.Douglas Haig booed when Los Pumas Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pastor Ferdinand didn't get a good kick on the ball. Walter Van De Beeck hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constantino Oidor in the 46th minute of play forced Club A.Douglas Haig's goalkeeper Victorio Ubelteso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Primitivo Beturian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorio Ubelteso having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jose Abar was the one to do the kick off. Constantino Oidor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Primitivo Beturian kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 61st match minute, Los Pumas Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafin Rosario to maneuver through the defense. Inocencio Sabino struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Nicolas Galanes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club A.Douglas Haig. 66 minutes into the match, Club A.Douglas Haig's goalkeeper Victorio Ubelteso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jose Abar. In the 68th match minute, Club A.Douglas Haig was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ubaldo Enaut to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Serafin Rosario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Inocencio Sabino came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Club A.Douglas Haig fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inocencio Sabino couldn't finish the play. Nicolas Galanes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Astor Amor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the match, Los Pumas Club's goal looked a bit too open when Astor Amor came free, but Nicolas Galanes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Los Pumas Club getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Primitivo Beturian hit a great ball. When Pastor Ferdinand fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Pumas Club's protests and gave Pastor Ferdinand a yellow card for diving instead. After 98 played minutes Los Pumas Club got a freekick which was hit by Pastor Ferdinand. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Los Pumas Club players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
