Spectators: 7587 (Terracing: 5691, Seating: 1745, VIP seats: 151) Lanegan FC's Amador Leizarraga started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aldo Pitin scored 1-0 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Salvador Lazcano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 7 minutes in the game Lucio Menendo did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Genaro Resto. Lucio Menendo charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucio Menendo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Merced AFC booed when Lanegan FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Menendo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baltasar Alfonso in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Melquiades Sendoa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Baltasar Alfonso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Melquiades Sendoa was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. When Merced AFC's Baltasar Alfonso in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Lanegan FC's Melquiades Sendoa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltasar Alfonso in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltasar Alfonso in the 21st minute of play forced Lanegan FC's goalkeeper Melquiades Sendoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baltasar Alfonso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baltasar Alfonso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Melquiades Sendoa having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Lanegan FC's zone, Baltasar Alfonso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melquiades Sendoa came out of the goal and Baltasar Alfonso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29th minute Baltasar Alfonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Sendoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melquiades Sendoa came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Merced AFC's Cosme Filipo. But to his dismay, Cosme Filipo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Simão Figueiredo scored 1-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Melquiades Sendoa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Melquiades Sendoa came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Merced AFC's Simão Figueiredo. But to his dismay, Simão Figueiredo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Baltasar Alfonso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Merced AFC were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Baltasar Alfonso made a kick off. When Simão Figueiredo came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Merced AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simão Figueiredo couldn't finish the play. 54 minutes into the match, Baltasar Alfonso notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of Lanegan FC's Melquiades Sendoa. Melquiades Sendoa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Baltasar Alfonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Aldo Pitin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Melquiades Sendoa managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Merced AFC's Baltasar Alfonso fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Melquiades Sendoa made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Baltasar Alfonso sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Lanegan FC's zone, Simão Figueiredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melquiades Sendoa came out of the goal and Simão Figueiredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baltasar Alfonso kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 69thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Lanegan FC's keeper Melquiades Sendoa was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bartolo Marquez during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bartolo Marquez hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. The supporters of Merced AFC booed when Lanegan FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Menendo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Merced AFC's Cosme Filipo took a good shot, in the 74th minute, which hit the crossbar above Melquiades Sendoa's head, and flew over the goal. Lanegan FC's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Merced AFC. Merced AFC were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after Lanegan FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cosme Filipo took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Vitório Arósio managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. A collision led to Lanegan FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Bartolo Marquez hit a great ball. 83 minutes into the match, Baltasar Alfonso notched a goal, 1-7, to the right of Lanegan FC's Melquiades Sendoa. Melquiades Sendoa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Merced AFC's Roch Rywin got a free kick in the 86th minute. Lanegan FC's Melquiades Sendoa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simão Figueiredo in the 87th minute of play. Merced AFC's attack was well implemented in the 88th minute, but when Simão Figueiredo was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Baltasar Alfonso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baltasar Alfonso struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Melquiades Sendoa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Merced AFC. Narciso Millrick hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Simão Figueiredo struck a weak shot in the 97th minute.
