Leonel Abastas's late challenge caught a Platense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonel Abastas helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Platense booed when Querandí was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Abastas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 played minutes Querandí got a freekick which was hit by Olov Blomqvist. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Jesus Bingen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Platense's supporters rose to their feet, but Jesus Bingen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramiro Mundo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paolo Su received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Mauricio Frederik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th match minute, Querandí was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremias Emmanuel to maneuver through the defense. Jesus Bingen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ramiro Mundo. Querandí's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 29th minute Laureano Pasqual shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Frederik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esteban Sansone struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Ramiro Mundo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Platense. 34 minutes into the game, Querandí's Laureano Pasqual nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mauricio Frederik made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Paolo Su took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mauricio Frederik. Mauricio Frederik dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Godofredo Luzea hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Querandí's Filiberto Rik got a free kick in the 44th minute. 45 minutes into the match, Esteban Sansone had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ramiro Mundo. Querandí's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Esteban Sansone was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Esteban Sansone made a kick off. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Querandí's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jesus Bingen was slow to take the kick. During this time Platense's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Platense's Fermin Luzea to fire away a dangerous shot which Ramiro Mundo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ramiro Mundo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Esteban Sansone's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. 56 minutes into the match, Platense's goal looked a bit too open when Laureano Pasqual came free, but Mauricio Frederik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Paolo Su managed to get in a good position for a shot. Querandí's supporters rose to their feet, but Paolo Su was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauricio Frederik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Paolo Su put it in 2-4 from a short distance just to the right of Mauricio Frederik. When Paolo Su came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Querandí fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paolo Su couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute, Paolo Su left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Querandí fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-5. In the 76th play minute Narciso Viator came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mauricio Frederik. 2-6. Querandí's Aaron Hotz was substituted for Laureano Pasqual. Paolo Su sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 92 minutes into the match, Platense's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Hotz came free, but Mauricio Frederik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aaron Hotz in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mauricio Frederik saved Platense from getting behind. Ernesto Lluciano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Mauricio Frederik made a huge save.
