The penalty shot was made by Modesto Afonso, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Carrenleufú FC's Haroldo Gaztea. 0-1. Haroldo Gaztea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Evis in the 8th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, Igor Arnau cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Hugo Eli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mauricio Erramun hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After 17 minutes, Basilio Nesto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Altona AFC and the Carrenleufú FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 17 played minutes Altona AFC got a freekick which was hit by Basilio Nesto. 18 minutes into the match, Carrenleufú FC's Ruperto Gurutz broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Haroldo Gaztea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mateo Gustau in the 21st minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Emanuel Evis notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Carrenleufú FC's Haroldo Gaztea. Haroldo Gaztea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Carrenleufú FC's zone, Leandro Curcio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haroldo Gaztea came out of the goal and Leandro Curcio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Altona AFC's Basilio Nesto got a free kick in the 27th minute. The Altona AFC fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Altona AFC's Leandro Curcio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Altona AFC's Leandro Curcio got a free kick in the 34th minute. Alvaro Pepillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haroldo Gaztea having to interfere. When Candido Domiku fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carrenleufú FC's protests and gave Candido Domiku a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Altona AFC booed when Carrenleufú FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Candido Domiku didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd match minute, Altona AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ladislao Vistruario to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Ruperto Gurutz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carrenleufú FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruperto Gurutz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugo Eli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Hugo Eli managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Carrenleufú FC's Igor Arnau fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After the first half Altona AFC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After having played for 54 minutes, Igor Arnau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carrenleufú FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Igor Arnau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Carrenleufú FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Nicasio Ongile hit a great ball. Modesto Afonso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Haroldo Gaztea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Haroldo Gaztea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Erramun in the 61st minute of the match. 68 minutes into the game, Emanuel Evis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Altona AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carrenleufú FC the free kick. In the 67th minute, one of Altona AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Altona AFC. In the 82nd minute, Rodrigo Ourente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Mateo Gustau took a quick shot and it went in 2-5 without a chance for Haroldo Gaztea to make any attempt to save it. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 95th minute of the game. One of Altona AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Carrenleufú FC:s goal. Altona AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
