Spectators: 7632 (Terracing: 5725, Seating: 1755, VIP seats: 152) Maravilla's Frans Zwartkruis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bebeto Vinhas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Chuck Eicke made a huge save. Sporting Milán's Chuck Eicke proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Milán from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Sporting Milán's Rogelio Jago got a free kick in the 12th minute. Bebeto Vinhas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Chuck Eicke made a huge save. In the 16th minute of the match Maravilla got a corner. Sporting Milán's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Damaso Jokin ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 18th minute Bebeto Vinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chuck Eicke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chuck Eicke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinicio Salomone, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Chuck Eicke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltasar Umbruso in the 21st minute of play. Sporting Milán's Chuck Eicke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frans Zwartkruis in the 24th minute of play. Sporting Milán's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maravilla the free kick. A collision led to Sporting Milán getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Chuck Eicke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinicio Salomone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
