After 4 played minutes SopinkIYCerebro got a freekick which was hit by Placido Mikelats. Halim Kader made an important save on a dangerous shot by Feliciano Abancens in the 5th minute. Nicanor Gipuzkoa took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pastor Santana. Pastor Santana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Pastor Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Placido Mikelats in the 15th minute of play. Nicanor Gipuzkoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Pastor Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pastor Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Placido Mikelats, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, Piñero AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Nicanor Gipuzkoa came free, but Pastor Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 27 played minutes Piñero AFC got a freekick which was hit by Paolo Barbosa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Placido Mikelats in the 28th minute of play forced Piñero AFC's goalkeeper Pastor Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Placido Mikelats sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pastor Santana made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patricio Iratze to make the kick off. Feliciano Abancens charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Feliciano Abancens the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd rose to their feet as SopinkIYCerebro's Placido Mikelats slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pastor Santana. That made the score 0-4 after 57 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Piñero AFC's zone, Nicanor Gipuzkoa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pastor Santana came out of the goal and Nicanor Gipuzkoa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the game, Nicanor Gipuzkoa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Pastor Santana was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Placido Mikelats sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Piñero AFC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Cristo Jurdan hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Piñero AFC defense, Rony Coelho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pastor Santana. The Piñero AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pastor Santana should have stopped the shot. 76 minutes into the game, Nicanor Gipuzkoa lined in a short shot 0-7 behind a frustrated Pastor Santana. In the 82nd minute Patricio Iratze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Halim Kader saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Placido Mikelats came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the SopinkIYCerebro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Placido Mikelats couldn't finish the play. Placido Mikelats in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pastor Santana, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Nicanor Gipuzkoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicanor Gipuzkoa might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pastor Santana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicanor Gipuzkoa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 96th minute, Placido Mikelats left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SopinkIYCerebro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. When the match was over SopinkIYCerebro could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Piñero AFC throughout the match.
