C.A Costa Azul's Maximo Lauro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Gonsalve in the 17th minute of play. After some careless play in the Çóndør Fútbøl Clüb defense, Arturo Louis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hector Sayvion. The Çóndør Fútbøl Clüb fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hector Sayvion should have stopped the shot. 29 minutes into the match, David Trezeguet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hector Sayvion. Çóndør Fútbøl Clüb's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Trezeguet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 39th minute David Trezeguet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Sayvion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Felix Urritz to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, David Trezeguet made a precise shot to the right of Hector Sayvion. Çóndør Fútbøl Clüb's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. The supporters of C.A Costa Azul booed when Çóndør Fútbøl Clüb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernabe Sendoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Tomás Sá had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hector Sayvion. But to his dismay, David Trezeguet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. After 71 played minutes Çóndør Fútbøl Clüb got a freekick which was hit by Bernabe Sendoa. A collision led to C.A Costa Azul getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. José Luis Spinetta hit a great ball. In the 77th minute Arturo Louis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Sayvion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th match minute, C.A Costa Azul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ceferino Piorno to maneuver through the defense. After 81 played minutes, Çóndør Fútbøl Clüb's Leandro Savier shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Maximo Lauro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Çóndør Fútbøl Clüb reached it. Hector Sayvion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Trezeguet in the 84th minute of the match. Hector Sayvion didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomás Sá went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Felix Urritz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. There was no doubt that C.A Costa Azul were the better team. C.A Costa Azul's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
