In the 6th minute, Timoteo Eneas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 14 played minutes Yupandú FC got a freekick which was hit by Rio Uchiha. Gwidon Michalski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teo Ilazki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Simon Lizer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Yupandú FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Rio Uchiha hit a great ball. Yupandú FC's Gwidon Michalski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teo Ilazki in the 21st minute of play. When Diablos Rojos's Simon Lizer in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Yupandú FC's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timoteo Eneas in the 25th minute of play forced Diablos Rojos's goalkeeper Jairo Ferdinand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Timoteo Eneas fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jairo Ferdinand, passed just outside the right post. Simon Lizer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gwidon Michalski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Paulino Argina kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After having played for 39 minutes, Simon Lizer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Diablos Rojos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simon Lizer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st minute, Delmiro Frutos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Simon Lizer struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Gwidon Michalski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Diablos Rojos. After 47 minutes, Baltasar Abaurre mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Diablos Rojos and the Yupandú FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 47th minute, one of Diablos Rojos:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Diablos Rojos. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Timoteo Eneas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Diablos Rojos's goal looked a bit too open when Timoteo Eneas came free, but Jairo Ferdinand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Simon Lizer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnaldo Cloyo hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Diablos Rojos's Jairo Ferdinand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timoteo Eneas in the 62nd minute of play. 64 minutes into the game, Yupandú FC's Aquiles Mannie nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jairo Ferdinand made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 70th minute Timoteo Eneas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Ferdinand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd match minute, Yupandú FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Astor Efren to maneuver through the defense. Diablos Rojos's Simon Lizer got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gwidon Michalski was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Froilan Lucian showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 80 minute of play. In the 87th match minute, Yupandú FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaac Illan to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Lizer in the 88th minute of play forced Yupandú FC's goalkeeper Gwidon Michalski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yupandú FC's Timoteo Eneas got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 99th match minute, Yupandú FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicanor Aragones to maneuver through the defense. Yupandú FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
