Mateo Nerio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geronimo Weterio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Epifanio Deunoro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eleuterio Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Geronimo Weterio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Eloy Xabel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 25 minutes, Eleuterio Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Muñecas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eleuterio Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Geronimo Weterio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eleuterio Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 34th minute, Tadeo Franco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Eleuterio Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Geronimo Weterio. Boca Juniors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eleuterio Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 40thth minute of the game Eleuterio Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Boca Juniors's Geronimo Weterio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Geronimo Weterio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateo Nerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 43rd match minute, Muñecas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eloy Xabel to maneuver through the defense. Muñecas's Mateo Nerio got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Muñecas fans' excitement grew in the 48th match minute when Muñecas's Eleuterio Sancho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

Geronimo Weterio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eleuterio Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Epifanio Deunoro hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, Eleuterio Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 69th minute, Eloy Xabel made a precise shot to the right of Geronimo Weterio. Boca Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Eriberto Papo hit a great ball. Eloy Xabel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teodoro Duarte during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Geronimo Weterio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Epifanio Deunoro in the 82nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Eleuterio Sancho took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Geronimo Weterio to make any attempt to save it. 87 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Geronimo Weterio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mateo Nerio. If Eleuterio Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geronimo Weterio came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Muñecas's Epifanio Deunoro. But to his dismay, Epifanio Deunoro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eleuterio Sancho in the 98th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Geronimo Weterio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
