Delmiro Abilio had in the 12thth minute some difficulties stopping Ignacio Mikelats's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 12 minutes into the game, Ignacio Mikelats cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Delmiro Abilio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eleuterio Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Robles AFC's Benjamin Lugo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Ieltxu in the 32nd minute of play. When Jacinto Iztal fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.D. Oriente Petrolero's protests and gave Jacinto Iztal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd match minute, C.D. Oriente Petrolero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Iztal to maneuver through the defense. Delmiro Abilio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eleuterio Sancho's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. C.D. Oriente Petrolero's Delmiro Abilio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save C.D. Oriente Petrolero from getting a goal against them. The supporters of C.D. Oriente Petrolero booed when Robles AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvio Mon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute Eleuterio Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmiro Abilio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Arturo Ieltxu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benjamin Lugo. Robles AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arturo Ieltxu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After the first half C.D. Oriente Petrolero were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Benjamin Lugo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roque Medardo in the 51st minute of play. After 53 played minutes Robles AFC got a freekick which was hit by Mateo Nerio. When Tiburcio Gelmiro fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.D. Oriente Petrolero's protests and gave Tiburcio Gelmiro a yellow card for diving instead. Tiburcio Gelmiro hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. If Arturo Ieltxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, C.D. Oriente Petrolero's Arturo Ieltxu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benjamin Lugo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benjamin Lugo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roque Medardo in the 67th minute of play. After 69 minutes, Eleuterio Sancho made it 3-3 with a short kick to the right side. C.D. Oriente Petrolero's Delmiro Abilio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Feliberto Rodriguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eleuterio Sancho's late challenge caught a C.D. Oriente Petrolero's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eleuterio Sancho helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Robles AFC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Eleuterio Sancho hit a great ball. Arturo Ieltxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Lugo having to interfere. After some careless play in the C.D. Oriente Petrolero defense, Eleuterio Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Delmiro Abilio. The C.D. Oriente Petrolero fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Delmiro Abilio should have stopped the shot. Delmiro Abilio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eleuterio Sancho in the 85th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Eleuterio Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Delmiro Abilio. C.D. Oriente Petrolero's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eleuterio Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-3. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Robles AFC had won after a very even match.
