The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anastasio Quintun to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Lon in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adan Maldonado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 9 minutes into the match, Florencio Firmin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adan Maldonado. Boca Juniors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Florencio Firmin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when CASAC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário Bertassi didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Felipe Silvino fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CASAC's protests and gave Felipe Silvino a yellow card for diving instead. The audience was convinced that Francisco Lon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adan Maldonado was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Pedro Enmanuel hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Florencio Firmin came free, but Adan Maldonado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teodoro Duarte hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After 29 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Anastasio Quintun. In the 30th minute, Florencio Firmin made a precise shot to the right of Adan Maldonado. Boca Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florencio Firmin in the 34th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Adan Maldonado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adan Maldonado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florencio Firmin, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Francisco Lon struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Adan Maldonado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CASAC. After the first half CASAC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anastasio Quintun to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Teodoro Duarte hit a great ball. Adan Maldonado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Lon in the 59th minute. Venancio Cuarto kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Anastasio Quintun left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Boca Juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Adan Maldonado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florencio Firmin in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Mario Idacio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Adan Maldonado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Lon. The crowd rose to their feet as Florencio Firmin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Adan Maldonado. That made the score 1-3 in the 85 minute of play. If Francisco Lon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adan Maldonado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florencio Firmin in the 92nd minute of the match. Romeo Tolino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Adan Maldonado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded CASAC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Boca Juniors.
