Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ulryk Nakoneczny started the match with the kick off. Club Atlético Talleres's Tião Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felipe Ekaitz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alejo Niva in the 11th minute. The supporters of Club Atlético Talleres booed when Santhiagos Feli Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Eutor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tião Castro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baldomero Urbasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Club Atlético Talleres's Felipe Ekaitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Talleres from getting a goal against them. Felipe Ekaitz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alejo Niva in the 23rd minute. Tião Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomero Urbasa having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Matias Dimas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adolfo Argider kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Felipe Ekaitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clemente Mitxel in the 40th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matias Dimas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matias Dimas in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felipe Ekaitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 54th minute Matias Dimas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Ekaitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 56 minutes, Alejo Niva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santhiagos Feli Club and the Club Atlético Talleres players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Santhiagos Feli Club getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Alejo Niva hit a great ball. Matias Dimas spun around in front of the goal 59 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Club Atlético Talleres's goal. Felipe Ekaitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Dimas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tião Castro got free with Baldomero Urbasa in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pablo Firmo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd match minute, Club Atlético Talleres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torrey Matthews to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute of the match Haroldo Eutor shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Felipe Ekaitz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 74th minute of the match Vinicio Lordi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Felipe Ekaitz skillfully saved the ball. Baldomero Urbasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tião Castro in the 76th minute. A collision led to Santhiagos Feli Club getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Haroldo Eutor hit a great ball. 82 minutes into the game, Cristo Ledesma was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético Talleres's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santhiagos Feli Club the free kick. In the 82nd minute, Cristo Ledesma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Haroldo Eutor took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Felipe Ekaitz. Club Atlético Talleres's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Felipe Ekaitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matias Dimas in the 85th minute of play. During the 90th minute of the match Alejo Niva completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Alejo Niva a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Tião Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomero Urbasa having to interfere. After having played for 94 minutes, Matias Dimas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santhiagos Feli Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matias Dimas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
