Lose Yourself's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Y va el tercero the free kick. In the 9th match minute, Lose Yourself was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rosendo Matai to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute Ange Dubuc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Haritz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Y va el tercero booed when Lose Yourself was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Charro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Osvaldo Haritz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ange Dubuc showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Lose Yourself's zone, Gómez Cruzado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldo Haritz came out of the goal and Gómez Cruzado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 57th minute Rosendo Matai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Czeslaw Zahemski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
