Benito Frisco kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. 5 minutes into the match, La Guaina FC's goal looked a bit too open when Camilo Nuñez came free, but Aurel Trică reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 6 minutes into the game, Victorio Abechuco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Aurel Trică was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 11th minute Jacobo Harriet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurel Trică saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 14 played minutes Salto AFC got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Nuñez. Constantino Mitxel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aurel Trică made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Cebrian in the 26th minute of play. In the 27thth minute of the game Victorio Abechuco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Guaina FC's Aurel Trică was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 30th minute, Donato Cebrian ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aurel Trică was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Aurel Trică showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Cebrian, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Eduardo Abastas was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 41st minute. La Guaina FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorio Abechuco in the 42nd minute of play forced La Guaina FC's goalkeeper Aurel Trică to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 44 minutes, Victorio Abechuco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salto AFC and the La Guaina FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The La Guaina FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Salto AFC were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Constantino Mitxel made a kick off. Salto AFC's Jaime Ramond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Abastas in the 52nd minute of play. Aurel Trică stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victorio Abechuco's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Marcial Abeijon hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. The supporters of Salto AFC booed when La Guaina FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Tano didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacobo Harriet during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th match minute, Salto AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacobo Harriet to maneuver through the defense. After 66 played minutes Salto AFC got a freekick which was hit by Omar Lia. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Salto AFC's goalkeeper Jaime Ramond, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Omar Lia kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Tadeo Mattin hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After 76 minutes of play Salto AFC's Omar Lia was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. If Victorio Abechuco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the match, La Guaina FC's goalkeeper Aurel Trică had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victorio Abechuco. Aurel Trică made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maarek Ojakäär in the 87th minute. When Victorio Abechuco came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Salto AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victorio Abechuco couldn't finish the play. Victorio Abechuco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurel Trică having to interfere. Alejo Evis kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When Victorio Abechuco came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Salto AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victorio Abechuco couldn't finish the play.
