The audience thought a goal was coming when Saverio Sanson got free with Jaime Ramond in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Maximiliano Pero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Jaime Ramond made a huge save. Salto AFC's Jaime Ramond proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Salto AFC from getting a goal against them. Victorio Abechuco scored 0-2 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alberto Horado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Donato Cebrian blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alberto Horado having to make a save. If Donato Cebrian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime Ramond was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Ladislao Leheren capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ladislao Leheren really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. In the 26th match minute, Salto AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Cebrian to maneuver through the defense. After 27 minutes, Adolfo Santo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salto AFC and the Kaaruma players grew even worse after the yellow card. Salto AFC were furious when Tiburcio Chano was red carded, 29 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Alberto Horado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorio Abechuco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 33rd play minutes Donato Cebrian shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Alberto Horado and just under the crossbar into goal. Salto AFC's Jaime Ramond proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Salto AFC from getting a goal against them. Jaime Ramond made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximiliano Pero in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute, Donato Cebrian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Salto AFC's Jaime Ramond got control of the ball when Maximiliano Pero tried to sneak it across the goal line.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maximiliano Pero was the one to do the kick off. Alberto Horado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato Cebrian in the 55th minute of the match. After 61 minutes of play, Kaaruma's Ladislao Leheren made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jaime Ramond was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maarek Ojakäär during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Salto AFC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Maarek Ojakäär hit a great ball. After 65 minutes, Victorio Abechuco made it 3-4 with a short kick to the right side. Kaaruma's Alberto Horado tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Kaaruma's Alberto Horado got control of the ball when Victorio Abechuco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Donato Cebrian received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alberto Horado came out and tried to block the shot, but Donato Cebrian slotted it home off the left post making it 3-5 in the 75th minute. Kaaruma's Alberto Horado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Kaaruma from getting a goal against them. Jaime Ramond came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Kaaruma's Saverio Sanson. But to his dismay, Saverio Sanson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-5. In the 82nd match minute, Kaaruma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgardo Hustaz to maneuver through the defense. Victorio Abechuco took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alberto Horado. Alberto Horado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-6. A collision led to Kaaruma getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Edgardo Hustaz hit a great ball. 93 minutes into the match, Salto AFC's Marcelo Cordeiro broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Salto AFC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Kaaruma's much stronger midfield.
