In the 11th minute, Godofredo Bermudo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teofilo Ciceron recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Carolo Lauaxeta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Basilio Iigo. TRINQUETA 1997 FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carolo Lauaxeta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Romulo Truylos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calchaqui's supporters rose to their feet, but Romulo Truylos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Basilio Iigo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Calchaqui's goalkeeper Basilio Tano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Calchaqui's goalkeeper Basilio Tano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Faustino Porfiro. A collision led to Calchaqui getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Carolo Lauaxeta hit a great ball. After 30 played minutes Calchaqui got a freekick which was hit by Blas Santikurtz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofilo Ciceron in the 31st minute of play forced TRINQUETA 1997 FC's goalkeeper Basilio Iigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Faustino Porfiro came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the TRINQUETA 1997 FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Faustino Porfiro couldn't finish the play. Basilio Iigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romulo Truylos in the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th match minute, TRINQUETA 1997 FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristo Gomez to maneuver through the defense. When Mauro Tono fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Calchaqui's protests and gave Mauro Tono a yellow card for diving instead. 42 minutes into the match, Calchaqui's Romulo Truylos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Basilio Iigo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Baldomero Micael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute Baldomero Micael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Tano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teofilo Ciceron made a kick off. Romulo Truylos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Basilio Iigo made a huge save. Calchaqui's Basilio Tano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomero Micael in the 53rd minute of play. Faustino Porfiro took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Basilio Tano. Basilio Tano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Basilio Tano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldomero Micael, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 60th minute, Calchaqui's Dionisio Socorro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dionisio Socorro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Calchaqui protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dionisio Socorro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Calchaqui fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! 67 minutes into the match, Calchaqui's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomero Micael came free, but Basilio Tano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basilio Tano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldomero Micael, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomero Micael in the 73rd minute of play forced Calchaqui's goalkeeper Basilio Tano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Carolo Lauaxeta dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Basilio Iigo, 3-2. Carolo Lauaxeta scored 3-3 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Basilio Iigo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Calchaqui's Fausto Oliverio got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 89th minute Baldomero Micael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Tano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Faustino Porfiro notched a goal, 4-3, to the right of Calchaqui's Basilio Tano. Basilio Tano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
