Banda's supporters rose to their feet, but Cevdet Ergüleç was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filomeno Cordera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Clemente Claude fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filomeno Cordera having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, General Paz Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Benedicto Raebert came free, but Filomeno Cordera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Bernabe Clemencin fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored General Paz Juniors's protests and gave Bernabe Clemencin a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Banda booed when General Paz Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernabe Clemencin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benedicto Raebert in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filomeno Cordera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Erubiel Mede received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Filomeno Cordera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ermegildo Canor to make the kick off. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. General Paz Juniors's players were relieved. Banda were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after General Paz Juniors's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Benedicto Raebert had several of the General Paz Juniors's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 77 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-6 score and a disappointed Filomeno Cordera as he didn't even see the shot coming. Cevdet Ergüleç might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filomeno Cordera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cevdet Ergüleç ran back to his position shaking his head. Filomeno Cordera didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 81st minute, which inside left pole to 0-7. A collision led to Banda getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Benedicto Raebert hit a great ball. 93 minutes into the match, Banda's Benedicto Raebert sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Filomeno Cordera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erubiel Mede got free with Filomeno Cordera in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match was over Banda could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than General Paz Juniors throughout the match.
