After having played for 3 minutes, Ulvi Besim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uranga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulvi Besim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 5th minute, Severiano Mendebal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Severiano Mendebal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uranga's supporters rose to their feet, but Severiano Mendebal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filomeno Cordera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to General Paz Juniors getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Lisandro Ovando hit a great ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 13 minutes into the game, when João Carlos Cardoso put in a rough tackle. In the 13th minute, one of Uranga:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Uranga. In the 15th minute there was a penalty for General Paz Juniors. Bernabe Clemencin stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Augustin Spiru. 0-1. After 17 played minutes Uranga got a freekick which was hit by Ulvi Besim. Augustin Spiru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Pelayo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute of the match Elvio Berriotxoa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Augustin Spiru skillfully saved the ball. Augustin Spiru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernabe Clemencin in the 24th minute of play. General Paz Juniors were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Uranga's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bernabe Clemencin took the corner. Silvano Baristo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Filomeno Cordera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulvi Besim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Filomeno Cordera made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Ermegildo Canor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Augustin Spiru was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. In the 36th minute Bernabe Clemencin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augustin Spiru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ermegildo Canor kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Ulvi Besim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Filomeno Cordera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, General Paz Juniors's Filomeno Cordera got control of the ball when Silvano Baristo tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Silvano Baristo took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Filomeno Cordera to make any attempt to save it. 45 minutes into the match, General Paz Juniors's goalkeeper Filomeno Cordera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ulvi Besim. Augustin Spiru didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Santo Tiso went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. After the first half General Paz Juniors were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

51 minutes into the game, Ermegildo Canor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. General Paz Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uranga the free kick. The supporters of Uranga booed when General Paz Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermegildo Canor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvano Baristo in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filomeno Cordera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 56 minutes into the game, Silvano Baristo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Filomeno Cordera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to General Paz Juniors getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Santo Tiso hit a great ball. In the 70th minute, Bernabe Clemencin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Santo Tiso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Augustin Spiru came out and tried to block the shot, but Santo Tiso slotted it home off the left post making it 3-4 in the 72nd minute. In the 75th minute, Ulvi Besim made a precise shot to the right of Filomeno Cordera. General Paz Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-4. 80 minutes into the game, Uranga's Ulvi Besim nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Filomeno Cordera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-4. Filomeno Cordera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulvi Besim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jimeno Ikatz kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Uranga's Augustin Spiru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santo Tiso in the 87th minute of play. Filomeno Cordera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silvano Baristo's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Teodosio Rainerio's late challenge caught a General Paz Juniors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teodosio Rainerio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th minute, Teodosio Rainerio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Uranga fans cheered their team off the field, for while General Paz Juniors had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
