When Diego Ferran came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Quitilipi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Ferran couldn't finish the play. Casimiro Frechoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremey Vanooteghem, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Jeremey Vanooteghem scored 0-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Casimiro Frechoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25th minute, Diego Ferran left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Quitilipi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Casimiro Frechoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Ferran in the 28th minute of play. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Jeremey Vanooteghem sped through Club Atl. River Plate's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Casimiro Frechoso. Guillermo Ursino struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Casimiro Frechoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quitilipi. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeremey Vanooteghem in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casimiro Frechoso saved Club Atl. River Plate from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elliott Tinglöf in the 37th minute of play forced Club Atl. River Plate's goalkeeper Casimiro Frechoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lorenzo Domiku struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Korneliusz Brak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atl. River Plate. After the first half Quitilipi were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Casimiro Frechoso was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Elliott Tinglöf capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Casimiro Frechoso came out and tried to block the shot, but Elliott Tinglöf slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 61st minute. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Elliott Tinglöf took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Casimiro Frechoso to make any attempt to save it. After 67 played minutes Quitilipi got a freekick which was hit by Diego Ferran. After having played for 70 minutes, Jeremey Vanooteghem managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quitilipi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeremey Vanooteghem was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 71st minute Elliott Tinglöf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casimiro Frechoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Club Atl. River Plate's Casimiro Frechoso got control of the ball when Jeremey Vanooteghem tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elliott Tinglöf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute.
