Tocota AFC's Jesus Toro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Tocota AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 11th minute, Godofredo Dalmai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernesto Ler's late challenge caught a Tocota AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernesto Ler helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Tocota AFC booed when Club Atl. River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Ler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jesus Toro made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Lorenzo Domiku sent off a good shot on target. If Lorenzo Domiku had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the game, Leonel Ostadar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Jesus Toro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Club Atl. River Plate's Casimiro Frechoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Imre Varga in the 28th minute of play. Godofredo Dalmai kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After 33 minutes, Fernando Beti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atl. River Plate and the Tocota AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Club Atl. River Plate getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Fernando Beti hit a great ball. Tocota AFC's Johannes Strömberg got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jesus Toro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Ostadar in the 36th minute of play. Jesus Toro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenzo Domiku in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th minute of the match Aristides Quinton shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Casimiro Frechoso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

The wind increased when Lorenzo Domiku made the kick off in the second half. Aristides Quinton hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Jesus Toro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Domiku in the 57th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atl. River Plate's zone, Johannes Strömberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casimiro Frechoso came out of the goal and Johannes Strömberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tocota AFC's Leonel Bakar was substituted for Aristides Quinton. 63 minutes into the game, Tocota AFC's Imre Varga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Casimiro Frechoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ubaldo Endira during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ubaldo Endira hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute, Tocota AFC's Imre Varga dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. In the 75th minute, Johannes Strömberg fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 77 minutes into the match, Club Atl. River Plate's goalkeeper Casimiro Frechoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Imre Varga. 79 minutes into the match, Tocota AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lorenzo Domiku came free, but Jesus Toro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Luke took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jesus Toro. Tocota AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 87 played minutes, Club Atl. River Plate's Erubiel Jon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jesus Toro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Atl. River Plate reached it. Casimiro Frechoso was a little too slow when Johannes Strömberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 2-3. Tocota AFC made a substitution. Rolando Udalaitz replaced Oscar Deckbergh. If Imre Varga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Johannes Strömberg came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Tocota AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johannes Strömberg couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tocota AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
