Brave Bird's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luciano Guillelme was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Baldomero Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the game, Thunder Bluff's Ambrosio Dolfo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Fernado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Brave Bird's Rolando Fernado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Blanco in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Luciano Guillelme made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Fernado. Brave Bird's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

Mauricio Edur hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Aldo Blanco was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 53rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. If Ambrosio Dolfo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by Brave Bird's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aldo Blanco was slow to take the kick. During this time Thunder Bluff's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Aldo Blanco got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rolando Fernado quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Adrian Millrick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Rolando Fernado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luciano Guillelme who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Rolando Fernado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ambrosio Dolfo got free with Rolando Fernado in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jimeno Abadia in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sindo Rozano prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
