An unexpectedly hard shot by Eleftherios Faniadis in the 56th minute of play forced Universidad Emilhense's goalkeeper Ismael Medero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Feliciano Marko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aleksandr Chernavin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leszek Ikalewicz scored 3-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ismael Medero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Eleftherios Faniadis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ismael Medero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eleftherios Faniadis in the 89th minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Universidad Emilhense's goal looked a bit too open when Eleftherios Faniadis came free, but Ismael Medero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 96 minutes Universidad Emilhense's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nemesio Carlomagno who took care of the corner kick.
