After 19 played minutes Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Blas Pierres. Erubiel Celipe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobias Romelio, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 24th match minute, Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blas Pierres to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Boruphave came free, but Erubiel Celipe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Independiente's goalkeeper Erubiel Celipe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Limarna AFC booed when Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruperto Elija didn't get a good kick on the ball.
