Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Silvestre Cidro took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of MERLINFC booed when Sportivo Sernova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteban Hulberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yngve Sandvoll made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvestre Cidro in the 7th minute of play. Sportivo Sernova's Yngve Sandvoll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvestre Cidro in the 11th minute of play. Silvestre Cidro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Yngve Sandvoll came out and tried to block the shot, but Silvestre Cidro slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 17th minute. Yngve Sandvoll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben Tabb in the 20th minute of the match. After 23 played minutes Silvestre Cidro rounded Sportivo Sernova's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. Yngve Sandvoll stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silvestre Cidro's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Silvestre Cidro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Godfredo Papo hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Silvestre Cidro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Yngve Sandvoll tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Sportivo Sernova's goalkeeper Yngve Sandvoll had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ruben Tabb. Godfredo Papo hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Yngve Sandvoll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvestre Cidro, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Silvestre Cidro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yngve Sandvoll having to interfere. Ruben Tabb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Yngve Sandvoll tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Godfredo Papo to make the kick off. MERLINFC's Silvestre Cidro got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 55th minute, Ruben Tabb ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yngve Sandvoll was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Yngve Sandvoll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruben Tabb, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Yngve Sandvoll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben Tabb in the 64th minute of the match. If Silvestre Cidro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ruben Tabb struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Yngve Sandvoll didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MERLINFC. In the 82nd minute Ruben Tabb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yngve Sandvoll saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yngve Sandvoll took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruben Tabb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes into the match, Ruben Tabb notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Sportivo Sernova's Yngve Sandvoll. Yngve Sandvoll was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 96th minute Silvestre Cidro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yngve Sandvoll saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sportivo Sernova's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
